DEA nabs nearly 2,000 in cartel crackdown
In an on going coordinated effort with Mexico and other countries nearly 2,000 La Familia Michoacana cartel members have been arrested.
Authorities say they also seized a sizable stash of drugs, including 2,773 pounds of methamphetamine, 1,232 kilograms of cocaine, 1,005 pounds of heroin, 14,818 pounds of marijuana and $3.8 million in other assets.
This in no way ends this drug cartels activities but is is a huge set back in smugglers, drug distributors and removes more than $62 million dollars from the hands of drug cartel members and leaders.
Maybe DOJ and BATF leaders need to be trained by the DEA on how to conduct a sting operation without loosing control of 1,800 guns that found their was into the hands of drug cartel members.
